Here at
Creative Beginnings we want our families to be knowledgeable and
informed about how to choose the right program for their child,
a place where they can feel confident and safe in their
environment. We offer that kind of environment, along with a
quality program that meets the needs of individual children.
Below are some questions that are of concern and interest when
choosing the right child care for your child.
Are you a licensed center?
Yes, we are licensed through the State of Colorado.
Is this
center a nationally accredited program?
Not
as of yet, but we anticipate going through the NAEYC process in
the next
14 months. The criteria
for this process is being considered as we develop our
programs.
What kind of
training does the staff have?
Our teachers are trained in CPR, First Aid and Universal
precautions. They also
participate in
professional development activities and training. We encourage
our
staff to get formal
training through local college classes.
Will my child have fun, as well as learn?
Yes,
learning occurs through fun interesting learning activities.
Even mashing
playdough is a
learning activity.
Does my child get to play outside?
All ages go outside during the day for play and fresh
air.
Do I bring lunch and snacks for my child?
No, we provide a hot
nutritious, breakfast and lunch daily, along with morning and
afternoon snacks.
How do you
deal with behavior problems or discipline?
Keeping your child
interested and busy in an appropriate environment discourages
behavior issues.
Re-direction is used to encourage independent play.
What do I need to bring for my child?
Depending on the age, you
will receive a note stating what your child needs for a
fun-filled day at
Creative Beginnings. We will provide a nutritious breakfast and
lunch, with one morning
snack and one in the afternoon.
Can I visit my child during the day?
Yes, parents and
immediate family members are welcome at any time during the
day. We have also
provided extra security for your child. If for some reason you
are unable to get away
from the office during the day you can always go to our
website and log into your
child’s classroom for a peek at his or her day. Beginning
July 3, 2006.
May I have a list of families that I can contact for feedback?
Yes, we will have
available to you telephone numbers and names of parents that are
familiar with us.
Be
sure to come by and visit us if you haven’t already done so.
Hope to see you soon!
